In the end, this is a tennis game. I’m not a fan, but I’ll try not to hold this against the game.
You can play singles or doubles. I tried the doubles, but since my wife is gone for the weekend I didn’t have anyone to play with me. It seems just like singles though, except you have another person with you.
The controls are simple enough. A or B swings at the ball. There’s a pretty good 3D look to the game considering when it came out. The thing isn’t really bad.
Ok, I take that back. If you don’t like tennis then this is not the game you should play to try to get into tennis. You start to serve automatically. Sure, you can just not swing for the ball and be fine. But I shouldn’t have to do that. I also went through an entire set double faulting on my serves the whole way through. And that was on the easiest setting.
The bright spot in this game is that Mario is the ref. Other than that, I think I’m just done with it.
