I really tried to spend 10 minutes with this game. I just couldn’t do it.
Let me state first off that I don’t like golf, have no idea really how to play, and don’t like golf video games. So I’m probably a bit biased in this from start.
First off, I know that I shouldn’t be using a 1 wood for anything not on the green. Every other gold game I’ve ever played suggested clubs to use. This had me using the 1 wood out of a sand trap. Normally I’d have thought that they just left the club suggestions out of the game, but when I finally got onto the green after what seemed like forever it switched me to using my putter. So someone thought it was a good idea to suggest clubs some of the time at least.
In the two player game the second player has the same guy with a different color shirt on. I’m not going to give the game crap for that. There are more important things to a sports game than making the people look good. I just thought I’d mention it.
Don’t get me wrong, this game isn’t all bad. For people who know what they’re doing the experience has to be better. And I really like the system they used for the swing. A once to start it, twice to control the power, and a 3rd time to line the ball up with a white part of the meter to control accuracy.
But overall for the general person, I can’t recommend this game.
